Computer Vision

Computer vision includes methods for acquiring, processing, analyzing, and understanding images in order to produce decisions. It has also been described as the enterprise of automating and integrating a wide range of processes and representations for vision perception. Computer vision typically requires a combination of low level image processing to enhance the image quality (e.g. remove noise, increase contrast) and higher level pattern recognition and image understanding to recognise features present in the image.
Visão Computacional
OpenCV (Open Source Computer Vision Library) is a library of programming functions mainly aimed at real-time computer vision, developed by Intel.
OpenCV was designed for computational efficiency and with a strong focus on real-time applications. Written in optimized C/C++, the library can take advantage of multi-core processing.
MathLab Image Processing Toolbox ™ provides a comprehensive set of reference-standard algorithms, functions, and apps for image processing, analysis, visualization, and algorithm development. You can perform image enhancement, image deblurring, feature detection, noise reduction, image segmentation, geometric transformations, and image registration.
